As an aircraft modification center, AVEX plays a key role in partnering with aircraft owners and engineering designers (Supplemental Type Certificate holders) in transforming and equipping older passenger aircraft into their new roles as cargo carriers.

Our Capabilities

Besides cargo aircraft conversions, AVEX has the wherewithal to perform various aircraft modifications and Service Bulletins accomplishments, ranging from: Aircraft Cabin Reconfigurations to Avionics Systems Upgrades and to Winglet Installations. These modifications could readily be performed in conjunction with an aircraft Heavy Maintenance Visit or as a standalone visit.

Proven Experience

Our management team has a wealth of experience in performing cargo aircraft conversions and other major modifications. We are familiar with the stringent regulations and meticulous process of STC prototyping and certification. We understand the success of a conversion program is also contingent upon our team working with the STC holder and the supply chain in kitting of the PMA parts and streamlining the production processes. The objective is to minimize aircraft downtime and maximize the throughput of modified aircraft. Our experience in converting 757 passenger-to-freighter aircraft demonstrates that success.
