AVEX progressed from painting aircraft to performing light checks and repairs to providing heavy maintenance and modification services. Each level of increasing sophistication and complexity of the service we provide is backed with the required personnel, processes, equipment, and tooling, as well as regulatory and customer training and authorization. Our workforce is assembled of aviation veterans with extensive experience in aircraft Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (“MRO”) industry, while also partnering with local community colleges to launch the careers of budding graduates of aviation programs.
Our 120,000 square-foot facility, comprising three large hangars (the largest hangar capable of accommodating a 747-size aircraft), offices, a stockroom, and backshops is located at the southwest side of Acadiana Regional Airport (“ARA” or “KARA”). Our large and well-maintained ramp space has direct access to the 8,000-foot runway, and with space earmarked for future expansion of our hangar capacity.
AVEX has an impressive suite of in-house shops and process capabilities including repairs and fabrication of Sheetmetal, Floorboards, and Composite Structures, Non-destructive Testing, Machining, Fuel Tank Repairs, and Electrical Wiring Fabrication and Repairs.
